FARNHAM homeowners are expected to see their council tax bill rise again this April, after Farnham Town Council joined Surrey County Council and Surrey Police in increasing the tax burden on ratepayers.
The average Band D household in Farnham will see its annual council tax bill increase by £29.25 (1.86 per cent) to just under £1,600 in 2013/14; providing the police and and local councils approve their current tax proposals.
It comes after Surrey County Council's Cabinet agreed a 1.99 per cent council tax increase, representing a £22.88 annual increase for Band D households, and Farnham town council voted in favour of a 3.25 per cent rise, marking another £1.76 increase for Band D ratepayers.
