The Alton Neighbourhood Plan steering group held its first public exhibition at the Alton Assembly Rooms last Friday and Saturday.
More than 300 people examined the scope and intent of the proposed plan and smothered the display boards with feedback written on hundreds of sticky notes.
A steering group spokesperson said: “All the comments and views are to be distilled into an evidence base which will be used to shape and help define the new neighbourhood plan.”
The current plan dates from 2016 and expires in November.
