FURTHER traffic delays are likely in Upper Hale Road this weekend with BT set to dig up the road at its junction with Nutshell Lane.

Temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be in place from today (Friday) until this Tuesday, January 12, to allow the telecoms company to install four new poly ducts in the carriageway.

It follows a sequence of roadworks in Upper Hale Road in recent months, namely to install a new pedestrian crossing at the junction with Farnborough Road and to then repair a leaking water pipe at the junction with Sandy Hill Road.
