A MOTHER of five had her purse stolen two weeks ago when she was moving back into her house after it was gutted by a fire in April.
The purse contained £95 in cash and £330 in Argos vouchers, which were going to be used to buy the children presents and some furniture.
Georgina Hunter said her five children lost everything when the fire ripped through the upstairs of their home in Birch Close, Bordon.
Unfortunately, the Hunters did not have house insurance so could not easily replace the children's toys or damaged property.
Then, as the family moved back in to the property, Mrs Hunter noticed her purse had been taken from her handbag.
She said: "People chipped in to give us the vouchers as the children lost everything in the fire. You just think what else can go wrong?
"The children lost all their toys. I am expecting a baby, and all the new baby stuff was burnt."
Mrs Hunter said she and two friends were in the house when the purse went missing.
She said: "I can't believe someone would have the cheek to come round the back of my house and come in. They must have known what they were looking for."
It is thought the burglary took place between 4-30 pm and 4-45 pm on October 7.
Police are now appealing to anyone who has any information to contact Pc Richardson, collar number 2231, on: 0845 045 4545.
