A MOTORCYCLIST has died and a driver of a car was left seriously injured following a road traffic accident in Bordon on the morning of Saturday, May 4. John Barber, 21, from Fleet, was travelling southbound on Ennerdale Road when the collision between his Honda motorcycle and a blue Rover occurred at approximately nine am. Mr Barber was taken under police escort to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford, but tragically died as a result of his injuries later that afternoon. The female driver of the Rover 25, from Whitehill, was also critically hurt in the crash. The as yet unnamed female remains in hospital. She is being treated for serious head and neck injuries. In a family statement the parents of Mr Barber said: "John is irreplaceable. He was a much loved son and brother. We are all totally devastated by his loss".
