A MOTORCYCLIST died in a crash on Blacknest Road on Sunday when he came off his bike opposite The Jolly Farmer pub.
The incident happened around 8.50pm when the 52-year-old rider from Ash, in Surrey, was thought to have braked heavily as he travelled south-east along the road on his black Harley Davidson Softail. He died at the scene.
It is believed a second motorcyclist, on a similar bike, was using that stretch of the road at the same time.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or two motorbikes near the area where the crash happened between 8.40pm and 8.50pm on Sunday.
The road was closed for five hours while specialist officers conducted a detailed examination of the scene.
A 50-year-old Camberley man was arrested in connection with the crash and has since been released on bail until September 6.
