A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to Frimley Park Hospital on Thursday after colliding with a car on Butts Road in Alton.
South Central Ambulance Service was called out at 7.22am following a report that a biker was on the ground after the collision with a car close to the Butts Road junction with Mount Pleasant Road.
The ambulance service despatched a road ambulance and a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle to the scene where police officers had cordoned off the road. The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also called and landed on The Butts.
The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man, sustained a serious head injury, as well as suffering arm and leg injuries. He was flown by air ambulance to Frimley Park Hospital.
