A YOUNG motorcyclist from Farnham killed in a crash on the A3 last week has been named locally as Sam Surridge.

The fatal collision took place at around 11.15am on Thursday, April 14, on the northbound carriageway in Guildford.

Mr Surridge, a 20-year-old ex-Heath End School and Farnham College student, died at the scene after his motorbike collided with a lorry near the Guildford Catherdral slip road.

Tributes have been paid to Sam online following the crash and flowers have been left at the scene of the crash.

Friend Luke Voller posted on Facebook: “We’ll never be the same without him again. I miss you Sam Surridge and so do all your friends, we’ll never ever forget you. Rest in peace.”

Surrey Police are still appealing for witnesses following the crash and Sam’s next of kin have been informed.

Sergeant Eddie Ryan from Surrey Police Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am urging anybody who witnessed the collision or events leading up to the collision to get in touch with us.

"Any information you have could help us piece together the events of this tragic incident.”
