AN Aldershot man has been charged with drink driving after being stopped in South Street, Farnham as part of Surrey Police’s summer crackdown.

James Carlisle, 29, of Greenacre, Aldershot, was caught in South Street on Thursday, June 23, and has been released on bail to appear at Guildford Magistrates’ Court.

In total seven people were charged in the third week of Operation Dragonfly, Surrey Police’s crackdown on drink and drug-driving throughout the summer months.

The campaign sees officers out on patrol actively looking for offenders and proactively releasing the names of those who have been charged.
