SOUTH West Surrey MP Virginia Bottomley has called for an end to further consultations into whether motorists would be prepared to pay to use the A3 tunnel at Hindhead after the £188,066 cost of the study was revealed this week.

Meanwhile, roadside surveys as part of the A3 study are being carried out over the next two weeks around Haslemere, Hindhead and Grayshott, aimed at providing up-to-date information on travel patterns in the area.
