EAST Hampshire MP Damian Hinds was one of more than 100 backbenchers to sign the motion urging the government to take action on rising fuel prices.

The fuel prices debate in the Commons on Tuesday saw backbenchers from all parties make the case for measures to ease the rising cost of fuel.

Mr Hinds told the Herald: "It affects all parts of society - but with a disproportionate impact on families and small businesses in areas like East Hampshire."
