SOUTH west Surrey MP Virginia Bottomley has defended her decision to become a part-time headhunter amid accusations that she is "running scared of the next election" from Liberal Democrats.

Simon Cordon, Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate for south west Surrey, has described Mrs Bottomley's appointment as a headhunter for high-profile executives for charities as a "snub" to her constituents.
