THE "deafening silence" from the government surrounding the future of Alton's Lord Mayor Treloar Hospital now appears to be directed at local MPs.
Winchester MP Mark Oaten has written to the Treloar Hospital Project team to report that he has still not received a reply from Secretary of State for Health, Alan Milburn, to whom he wrote in March this year, on the subject of the hospital.
