STAFF at Marks & Spencer in Guildford have chosen Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as their charity of the year.

Collection tins have been placed on M&S tills from November 1, and in-store bucket collections are planned for December.

Volunteers will also offer bag-packing at the store’s food tills in the run-up to Christmas, taking some pressure off shoppers over the hectic festive season, in return for a donation to Phyllis Tuckwell.

A sponsored walk from the Guildford M&S store to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham will give staff another opportunity to get involved.
