A MORNING of muddy fun was enjoyed by children aged from two to eight at St Ives Forest School, in Haslemere.
The action-packed free activity event, which included making bird-feeders, campfires and mud tattoos and playing hide and seek was just one of a series of open morning events that St Ives School has held, which conclude with a final bonfire-themed event on Saturday, November 4.
Headteacher Kay Goldsworthy said: “We had a wonderful morning with the children who all had great fun in our forest grounds running around, being creative and enjoying the fresh air.
“Our forest day activity morning was designed to showcase the opportunities that a school like ours offers. The school is lucky to be situated in beautiful surroundings and we make the most of that to ensure that all the children have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors alongside their academic activities.
“Our aim to give them the best start possible across all elements of their development be it academic, sporting, creative or pastoral.”
