PUPILS at Bordon Junior School had help with their Mothering Sunday presents when a special shop was opened for them at the school one lunchtime.

The shop was run by the Friends of Bordon School's fundraising team and offered pupils the opportunity, last Wednesday, to buy gifts for their mothers and have them wrapped and ready for collection in time for the big day.

Sue Lawrence, one of the support staff at the school and who is also in charge of the Friends' team, said the children got very excited about visiting the extra-special shop.

"I think it is fantastic for the children to exert a little independence and choose their very own gift for mum," she said.

"Add to that a homemade card, perhaps, and I think that might just be the perfect Mothering Sunday combination."
