A LIPHOOK mums’ group’s first-ever Christmas bazaar has become an instant hit with the community.

The brainchild of busy mum-of-four Hannah Tress, the event attracted a range of stallholders offering a variety of products and treatments to the Church Centre, on Portsmouth Road.

From Christmas decorations, greeting cards and hampers to Henna tattoos, make-up sessions, hairstyling, toys, stocking fillers, children’s clothes, personalised art work, beauty treatments and health and welbeing products, visitors enjoyed what was on offer.

Hannah said: “The overall feeling was that this first event was very well received by shoppers as well as stall holders.

“When I decided to set up a Facebook page called ‘Liphook Mums’ a couple of months ago, and I was overwhelmed by the interest and support from other local mums in the area.

“We now have more than 400 members and it has very quickly become a place for everyone to seek advice, keep up to date on events, sell things and more importantly help new mums to connect with new friends more easily.

“I also found out lots of the mums were running their own business, which is why I decided to put together the Christmas bazaar and invite them to come along and set up a stall.

“I thought it would be nice if Liphook mums could support other Liphook mums and do some of their Christmas shopping supporting the community and I was blown away by how many wanted to be involved in the event.

“We are already talking of putting on another community event in the new year and would like to establish a regular food market, that offers fresh produce from around the local area.”
