A NEW health and fitness class in Hook is helping mums find the time to keep active after the birth of their children.
Buggyfit is a nationwide group which helps mothers "get back in shape after their new arrival" and has now found its way to Hook.
Anna Gilderson is the Buggyfit trainer for the area and took up her role in January, with classes growing gradually since its inception.
After attending Buggyfit classes in Farnham following the arrival of her baby, Isabella, Anna said it was an easy choice to become a trainer.
“I have always been passionate about encouraging young and old to get moving," she said.
“I have spent many years teaching dance, where I helped participants who had little or no experience in dance or exercise get moving and feel great about themselves in the process.
“I was keen to get moving again and loved being outside, it was a natural progression to become a Buggyfit trainer and help other mums get back to or start their fitness journey.”
The response has been excellent from those in the class, often turning out in wind, rain or shine and Anna said the response is great to see.
“All the ladies and their little ones that have been to class, have been lovely to meet and been a fantastic encouragement as the classes have slowly built over the past month. It’s great that they’re getting out and exercising, some as soon as six weeks after birth, and Buggyfit is supportive place to have them come along.
“I’m excited to be working in the Odiham and Hook area and the opportunities that it will bring.”
Classes are held three times a week. For more details, visiting buggyfit.co.uk.
