A PHARMACIST arrested on suspicion of murdering his father last year has been re-bailed for a fourth time while a police investigation continues.

Bipin Desai was arrested on August 29, 2015 at his home in Dockenfield - two days after police discovered the body of his father, 85-year-old Dhirajlal Desai, at the same address.

He was released on bail and was re-bailed again this week until May 30, 2016, with detectives pursuing “a number of enquiries” into the circumstances surrounding the death.

A post-mortem on Mr D Desai’s body was carried out in August last year but failed to determine a cause of death. Mr B Desai, who is in his 50s, has not been charged.
