MURDERED Andrew Scanlan's corpse was found decapitated and mutilated on Sandy Hill last week. Hampshire Police officers unearthed the grisly discovery last Wednesday, with Mr Scanlan's head and hands separated from his body. Identified by dental records, it took a forensic team more than 24 hours to establish the corpse was the 35-year-old father of three who had been missing from his Peterborough home since November. Last Friday, Mark Baigent, 26, of Medworth, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, his brother, James Baigent, 29, of Moor Close, Sandhurst, in Surrey, and Jeffrey Woods, 35, of Birch Hill, Bracknell, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court, charged with the murder of Andrew Scanlan. Judge Jonathan Haworth ordered that the men remain in custody ahead of a plea and case- management hearing at the court on May 18.
