ST Andrew’s Parish Church, Farnham, will welcome the return of musician Nicholas Woods for its monthly lunchtime organ recital on Tuesday, May 10.
Starting at 1.10pm the concerts last for about 45 minutes and folk are encouraged to enjoy ‘Music while you Munch’. The recitals are free of charge. Take you own lunch or refreshments are available.
Nicholas will start his programme with Stanford’s Postlude in D minor, then Handle’s organ concerto no2. Bach will follow with Prelude and Fugue in D and Mozart’s Fantasia in F minor/major. The recital will finish with Carillon de Westminster by Vierne.
Nicholas Woods is a well-known organist in the area having been an organ scholar at the Royal Academy and sub-organist at Southwark Cathedral.
There is a retiring collection towards future recitals. All welcome.
