A STABBING in Tongham early on Saturday morning has prompted a police appeal for witnesses. Police received reports that a fight had broken out in Pawley Close around 12.15am. When officers attended, they were told that a man had been stabbed in the stomach and driven himself to Frimley Park Hospital. When officers went to the hospital, the man refused to co-operate or make any allegations about who had attacked him. He was discharged from hospital on Monday, after undergoing surgery for his injuries. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information which could assist their enquiry, to contact Pc Christian Mickley at Guildford police station on 0845 125 222, quoting crime reference number C/07/19418.
