FARNHAM Park is to host a free family-friendly navigation challenge during the half term break.

The ‘Xplorer’ outdoor adventure invites families to explore the park, find the markers, complete the challenge and have fun together.

Between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Friday, June 3, participants can follow a simple map to find the markers and learn fun facts, while competing against friends or family.

Starting from the adventure playground, the course lasts for approximately 30 minutes and everyone will receive a certificate and sticker for taking part.

Jenny Else, Waverley Borough Council’s new portfolio holder for health, wellbeing and culture, said: “This is a fantastic activity for families to take advantage of during the half-term break.

“Not only will children have an exciting adventure, but they’ll be outside enjoying the open air, getting some exercise and learning about some of the wonderful nature we have on our doorstep.

“In an age of increasing reliance on technology it is refreshing that we have this sort of free activity to our children to learn a new skill such as navigation.”
