A BEACON Hill man was charged with five further counts of arson when he appeared at South West Surrey Magistrates Court on Monday.

Steven Noel Hooker (18), who has already been charged with seven counts of arson, one robbery, one threat to kill and a drugs offence, was charged with setting fire to the vending machine at Woolmer Hill School in Haslemere in 1997.

He was also charged with setting fire to toilet paper at the Spectrum Leisure Complex in Guildford on three separate occasions and with setting fire to the interior of Pizza Planet in Beacon Hill in 1999.
