THE New Ashgate Gallery Trust is delighted to introduce two artists inspired by the historic views of Farnham and its surrounding areas in an upcoming exhibition starting this Saturday (March 4).

First of the two artists is Fiona Pearce who has a passion for the Surrey and Hampshire countryside. Her daily runs in the countryside are her greatest inspiration.

Fiona, who has a degree in art from the West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham, works mainly in acrylic, applying thick layers with credit cards, fingers and occasionally a brush.

The second artist exhibiting is Jan Gaska, a figurative painter and printmaker. Jan’s new ‘plein air’ paintings explore Farnham and its surrounding countryside.

He studied fine art at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design and masters in printmaking and illustration from the Bucks Chilterns University.

He also teaches printmaking and is currently the New English Drawing Scholar 2016-2017.

Their work will be on display from this Saturday until Saturday, April 15, in the New Ashgate Gallery in Waggon Yard, Farnham.
