A NEW cafe operated by the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company has opened its doors.

“We were delighted to launch The Coffee Pot last Monday and enjoyed a steady trade for opening,” said Naomi Metcalfe, community development officer for the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company.

The regeneration company is the developer of the main redevelopment site in Whitehill and Bordon, which includes Prince Philip Barracks, the Technical Training Area, the Bordon Officers Sports Club, and the Hogmoor Inclosure.

“We have received wonderful feedback from our first customers who enjoyed good, wholesome food,” she said.

“They praised our friendly staff, the lovely location close to the bus route and the role The Coffee Pot will play incorporating residents and visitors into the community, for example hosting the up-coming police meet and greet.

“We expect visitor numbers to increase steadily as awareness spreads across town.”

The cafe, at Martinique House in Hampshire Road, is open daily from 7.30am to 2.30pm, serving hot and cold food and drinks.

It will host community events such as coffee mornings, development meetings, a monthly police meeting and the Alzheimer’s group.
