FARNHAM'S new town clerk will be used to the job when she takes up the position later in the year - she has been town clerk in Godalming for 15 years.
Pat Evans accepted the post, from which current clerk David Morris will retire at the end of this month, last week and hopes to start work in Farnham in early April.
