DO you want to spruce up your CV or polish your interview skills? Waverley Borough Council is piloting a second, free job club in Farnham in partnership with Farnham Town Council and Community Foundation Surrey.

Jobseekers can visit the new job club at the Farnham Town Council offices between 1pm and 3pm on Tuesdays, as well as the existing club at Sandy Hill Bungalow between 10am and 12.30pm, also on Tuesday.

Guildford Advice To Employment (GATE) volunteers will be on hand at both venues to provide support and advice on job hunting.

Jim Edwards, portfolio holder for economic and community development at Waverley Borough Council, said: “Since it started in 2013, the job club in Sandy Hill has been an important place for local people who need support in looking for work and preparing for an interview.

“Opening a new site in the centre of Farnham means that more people will be able to get employment help and advice.”

Geoff Averill, advisor at GATE, added: “We are pleased to provide an additional free, weekly, employment guidance and support session at Farnham Town Council offices for all in the Farnham area seeking employment.”
