FRIENDS Together, a new weekly social group for the bereaved, has been formed in Farnham to support those mourning the loss of a loved one.

People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to join the group for a hot drink and a chat every Monday, between 3pm and 4.30pm at Cafe Nero in Castle Street.

Led by Mary Baines, a lay chaplain at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, the group held its first meeting earlier this month and is backed by 10 volunteers from St Andrew’s Church.

A dedicated phone line, 07999368128, is also available to call for support or just a chat 24/7 and the group is not just limited to those recently bereaved.
