MONTHS after the town's angling club severed its links with the town's famous Heath pond and the town council, a new group is set to take over the reins.

A full town council meeting on Monday is set to rubber stamp a proposal to hand over the management of the pond to Heath Pond Association, a group of fishermen "who have a love affair with the place".
