PLANS have been submitted again for the conversion of part of a Sleaford pub into homes - despite the fact that identical proposals by the same applicant were recently withdrawn.

As reported by The Herald last week, planning applications to change part of the New Inn, also known as the Blues Tavern, into homes, were withdrawn by the applicant, B & R Partnership.

The applications relate to the left hand side and rear of the pub: one seeking to change it into a dwelling, a second asking to change it into two dwellings and a third application for two dwellings and a host of internal and external alterations.

Senior planner Keith Oliver said: "The original application was withdrawn because there were some issues that could not be resolved within the eight weeks.

"We now have the information that we need and the applicant is obviously happy now."

The New Inn, which is a Grade II listed building, has been closed since April.
