FARNHAM residents Sandra Lambert and drummer Jeff Lardner, are launching a new jazz club to be held on the last Wednesday of the month at Farnham Conservative Club’s Ivy Room.

No strangers to entertainment Sandra (who has worked with Bette Midler and the London Symphony Orchestra) and Jeff (drummer to Van Morrison, Kylie Minogue, Gregory Porter et al.) have run the highly acclaimed corporate event band, Simply Swing, for over 15 years and it is this rhythm section, together with London bassist Mick Hutton, that will form the house band at the club.

Each month a guest or guests will feature with the trio. The first jazz night kicks off on Wednesday, November 30, with Steve Pert of Wall Street Crash fame and his Rat Pack Refreshed Show – singing the songs of Frank Sinatra and his contemporaries all served up with wit and charm.

From January, guests will be able to enjoy ‘Curry In The Box’ available before the show, making this Farnham’s first jazz and supper club.

With licensed bar and club atmosphere, Jazz At The Ivy Room is open to everyone and tickets can be purchased from www.ivyroomjazz.co.uk, or on the door at £12 per person (students and under 18s - £5). Doors open 7pm with live music from 7.45pm to 10.15 pm.
