BORDON is still being kept waiting over news of when its brand new Jobcentre Plus office will open.
The new office in Chalet Hill has been completed for some time. However staff from the existing Liphook office cannot transfer to Bordon until work on similar offices in Alton and Petersfield has finished.
It has been delays in these two towns which have held up the opening of the Bordon office because all three East Hampshire offices will offer a complete range of services between them and cannot operate on their own.
A government spokeswoman confirmed: ÒWe canÕt open the Bordon office until the other offices are open as together they offer a full range of services.
ÒWe are still working hard and hope to have the Bordon office open as soon as possible.Ó
