ALTON'S Finnimore Pavilion is to be demolished this spring and rebuilt to provide a long-overdue facility to meet the needs of sportsmen in Anstey Park.

The £846,961 project, to replace the ageing building with a smart two-storey pavilion with eight changing rooms at ground level and a first floor club house, will be disabled friendly throughout with a lift and new toilet facilities that will be accessible from the outside for all park users.
