IT was finished on time and on budget, and at Mondays opening of Bordons town square, Whitehill mayor Bill Wain called it one of the town councils magnificent seven projects.

At the ceremony, Dr Wain, Andrea McCallum from the South East England Development Agency, East Hampshire District Councils portfolio holder for sustainability and country towns Ken Carter, and Jonathan Glen, Hampshire county councillor for skills and economic development, cut the ribbon across the walkway between the Forest shopping and community centres.
