SHOPPERS in Whitehill and Bordon are in for a treat this summer, when the new Wilkinson store opens its doors. Aside from greater shopping facilities, the new store at the Forest Centre, in Pinehill Road, is set to create 80 new jobs. Store manager Mark Davis is looking forward to welcoming shoppers from Wednesday, May 28. He said: "Bordon is a very close-knit community in the heart of beautiful Hampshire. "Home to a variety of scenic landscapes, from hills and heaths to rivers and streams, this is the perfect opportunity for local residents to roll up their sleeves, get mucky and give their gardens a Wilkinson makeover. "Our extensive range of everyday items for the home and garden, combined with our great value- for-money store ethic has made Wilkinson one of the fastest-growing retailers in the country."  Wilkinson, a family-owned firm, has 300 stores across the UK, with plans to have 500 stores across the UK by 2012. The new 12,000sq ft store will offer shoppers popular brands alongside "Wilko" own brands, currently only available at the nearest stores in Aldershot and Farnborough.
