THE former director general for rail at the Department of Transport has picxked up a gong in the Queen’s New Year Honours List.
Clare Moriarty, from Petersfield, has been made a Companion of the Order of the Bath for her services to transport.
Mrs Moriarty spent much of her early career in policy roles for the NHS and the Department for Health.
And in August, Mrs Moriarty (pictured) became permanent secretary for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
