PRINTING costs of more than £6,000 per year by Petersfield Town Council to keep town residents in the loop has come in for close scrutiny.

PTC News is a free five-page newsletter which is distributed to 7,000 residents in the town four times a year. It has been running since 2006.

But Bill Organ, Petersfield town councillor for St Peter's ward and a Labour town councillor who was co-opted back onto the council after losing his Rother ward seat last year, questioned its worth at this week's full town council meeting on Monday night.

"Is the council really getting value for money?"
