MORE than 360 lined up in Holybourne on Sunday for the 30th 'Alton Ten' road race.

First home was last year's winner Nick Bais, from Totton Running Club, in a time of 55 minutes 17 seconds – slightly faster than last year's time of 55.24.

The first woman home was Lesley Locks, from Hart Road Runners, who recorded a women's course record of 60.50 – almost three minutes faster than last year's time of 63.40.

In the team races, City of Salisbury Running Club won the men's renewal and Winchester and District AC the ladies' event.

Organised by Alton Runners and Alton Lions, the race was the 11th Hampshire Road Race League of the season. All profits will go to charity.
