ELDERLY council tenants in a Badshot Lea close have spoken of their relief after an upstairs flat, believed to be occupied by a teenager, was boarded up following repeated incidences of anti-social behaviour.
Residents told The Herald this week of the frequent parties for up to 30 people in the one-bedroom flat in Rankine Close where the lights never seemed to go off at night.
Several times a week a pair of huskies would stay at the flat, keeping residents awake when they howled deep into the night and standing on the window sills letting rip when they were left alone during the day.
Groups of people would come and go into the early hours and bottles, used condoms and other debris would be thrown out of the window into the communal garden.
