THE bid to develop a care home on the OSU site opposite Liphook's Millennium Green ended after a planning inspector agreed with East Hampshire District Council's decision that the plan should not go ahead and the site should be kept for businesses and employment.

EHDC had refused the proposal in January, stating that the site should be used for business employment space that is urgently needed in the village.
