THERE was good news for Bordon's Chase Community Hospital last week when Hampshire Community Health Care confirmed there were no plans to close any of the existing beds "at this time".

The announcement has, for now, quashed rumours that have been circulating that six Macilwaine Ward beds - the GP beds - might go because more people were being treated in their own homes.
