PLANS to erect a royal banner on a Petersfield roundabout have driven town councillors round the bend.

Petersfield Town Council wanted to erect a banner on the Sheet link roundabout celebrating the royal jubilee.

But their plans have refused by Hampshire County Council who believe the sign will be a distraction to motorists.
