ÔNEIGHBOUR from hellÕ Justin Lee, of Cranford Road, Petersfield, has been banned from playing loud music or he could face jail.
East Hampshire District Council obtained an injunction against Mr Lee, who has had his stereo equipment seized twice in just three weeks, after he told his landlords he would continue to Ògive lots of noiseÓ.
Council officials have now said if he breaches the injunction they will apply to the court to have him jailed for contempt.
Police were first called to Mr LeeÕs home in Cranford Road in the early hours of May 18 this year, with music clearly audible in the street despite the fact all his windows were closed.
The council issued a noise abatement order on May 31 telling Mr Lee to curb his noise, but neighbours continued to complain.
On June 27, following an order from Aldershot magistrates, his stereo equipment was seized.
But this did not stop the noisy neighbour, who continued to create so much noise that neighbours were forced to complain yet again.
So just 21 days after they had seized his stereo, council officers returned to seize more stereo equipment.
A council spokesperson said: ÒDespite having two sets of noise-making equipment seized, Mr Lee continued to breach the order and confirmed to a housing officer at Drum Housing Association, of which he is a tenant, that he would continue to Ôgive lots of noiseÕ.Ó
EHDC was granted an injunction preventing Mr Lee from making noise so as to cause a disturbance.
In addition EHDC has issued a summons at Aldershot MagistratesÕ Court against Mr Lee for failure to comply with the abatement notice served on him on May 31.
