A NURSERY in Lindford is among the organisations in the district which have received grants from East Hampshire councillors.
Councillor Yvonne Parker Smith (Conservative,?Lindford) granted £300 to the Little Treasures nursery, which takes place at Lindford Village Hall in Sycamore Road, at the end of last year. Nursery co-ordinater Kye Anderson said the children were grateful for the funds, which will go towards art and craft equipment.
Groups in East Hampshire are now staking their claims to the most recent set of community grants from East Hampshire District Council, and there is still time for groups seeking funds to apply.
Each of the 44 councillors in East Hampshire has £3,000 they can award to support projects benefiting people in their ward - in grants of between £250 and £1,000.
