OLYMPIC hero Justin Rose has had his medical records published online by Russian hackers.

Known as the Fancy Bears, the Russian group published the details of the former-Hook golfer, along with 25 other athletes, including Odiham’s Alex Danson.

Both Olympic stars were among the 26 athletes, from 10 countries, including double gold medalist Mo Farah, to have their personal information stolen from the World-Anti Doping Agency’s data storage system, just a matter of weeks after the Olympics finished.

Specifically, the leaks relate to TUEs, Therapeutic Use Exemptions, which the athletes were granted so they could take medicine that would usually be on the WADA’s banned substance list, to help with a number of physical problems.

Rose’s TUE is for an anti-inflammatory drug he took to treat a back injury which caused him to miss several weeks of action in May and June this year.

He was quoted at the time saying that he hoped the back injury could be a blessing in disguise as he approached a major tournament “fresh” having had the time off to consider his game.

Rose then went on to win the first Olympic gold medal in golf for 112 years after a nerve-shredding final round with recent Open Championship winner Henrik Stenson.

It has been established that all the other British TUEs are a routine procedure for routine asthma and allergy prescriptions.

Mo Farah for example received them twice, one in 2008 and the most recent when he was placed on a morphine drip in July 2014 following the runner collapsing after a training run.

National press have reported that there is no suggestion that any of the athletes whose information has been leaked as part of the hacks have done anything wrong.
