THE Coalition Government has been accused of betraying its Olympic legacy promises and "seriously undermining" access to sport for young people in Waverley and Surrey.

The Surrey Labour Party made the accusation after Education Secretary and Camberley MP Michael Gove cut £2.5m from sport projects for Surrey youngsters.

Labour says more than 400 teachers have lost their posts since the Sports Partnership Programme was axed in 2010, including 350 primary link teachers, 50 secondary school sports co-ordinators and at least one school partnership in Waverley.
