PLANS to line the route when the Olympic Torch goes by can now be made in earnest.

London 2012 Games organisers revealed the names of the inspirational people successfully nominated to carry the flame this week, and published the dates they will carry the famous flame.

The London Olympic Games Organising Committee (LOGOC) has also endeavoured to slot all the torchbearers to appear within an hour of their home so family and friends can cheer them on.

Midhurst, Easebourne, Tillington and Petworth will welcome the flame on July 16 when pensioner Gerald Cooke, will be one of the torch bearers.
