A ONCE-in-a-blue-moon sight was witnessed by people across East Hampshire last week.
The dazzling super blue blood moon was marvelled overnight last Wednesday (January 31), prompting many Herald readers to grab their cameras and send in some outstanding images of the astronomical phenomenon.
A blue moon occurs when there are two full moons in one month, and a supermoon is when the satellite is closest to Earth.
The next blue moon will occur in March, although it won’t be a super moon.
