SEVEN people were charged in the first week of Operation Dragonfly, Surrey and Sussex Police’s crackdown on drink and drug-driving.
During the campaign, officers out on patrol will actively look for driving offences and behaviour behind the wheel that may be due to the driver’s consumption of intoxicating substances.
Surrey Police is releasing the names of those who have been charged across the county and officers will be tweeting about people who have been stopped on suspicion of drink or drug-driving offences, giving brief details of an incident.
As well as the seven people charged in the first seven days, a further 13 were arrested for drink or drug-driving related offences and 10 are on bail. Two were released without charge and one faces no further action.
Two more motorists were dealt with by way of a summons to attend court.
